What is TEDx

Ideas Worth Spreading In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxMahanagar, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxMahanagar event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized..



What is TEDxMahanagar

Ideas Worth Spreading TEDxMahanagar is an independently organized TED event under an authorized license from TED . It is being organized this year for the second time in Mahanagar with the aim to make the youth involved in the spectrum of IDEAS WORTH SPREADING. The conference will feature interdisciplinary presenters including those from the local community - expressing their past experiences, current projects, and future visions to promote inquiry, innovation, and critical discussion.   • Fill out our speaker nomination form and our Speakers Committee will contact the individuals directly and ask them to fill out an application.

  • Please do! Just let us know how you've heard about this person, and why you think they should speak at TED.

  • No. All applications will still be openly accepted and considered, regardless of Mahanagar affiliation. However, as the purpose of TEDxMahanagar is to promote ideas tied to Mahanagar, there will be a strong preference for applicants affiliated with the University.

  • No. Please reference the rules for sponsoring a TEDx event. Sponsoring TEDxMahanagar has many benefits, but a guaranteed speaking slot is not one of them.

  • TEDxMahanagar does not pay speakers. We do, of course, offer accommodations for travel costs, as well as complimentary passes to our conference. Other benefits include pre-conference coaching and training, special events for networking, the gift bag, and broadcast-quality video production of your Talk. We are committed to creating an experience that's tremendously fulfilling and beneficial on all sides.
